Mini Art Sharing: From Grief to Grounding
Finding Yourself After Grief is a gentle journey of returning to the self — a process of learning to breathe, feel, and reconnect after loss. Through art and reflection, this space invites you to pause, notice your growth, and honor the quiet strength that has carried you here.
And in the darkness of loss, it is often where we slowly begin to recognize ourselves again — discovering the small light within: a presence that stays, grows, and learns to accept.
Through the final session of From Grief to Grounding, we will celebrate this journey together with a Mini Art Sharing — or as we call it, Self-Marking.
Inspired by the idea of bookmarking, this session becomes a marker on our journey — a moment to pause, notice where we are, and acknowledge how far we’ve grown.
Often, humans tend to underestimate their own process. We focus too much on the end result, without giving ourselves space to appreciate the small steps that brought us here.
Through self-marking, we learn to be present — not just for the outcome, but for the healing process itself.
Finding Yourself After Grief: The Quiet Space That Helps Us Grow
Often, grief makes the world feel silent and unfamiliar.
But it is precisely within that quiet space that we begin to recognize who we truly are.
Loss forces us to look inward — to understand what matters, who matters, and how we want to move forward.
From this process, we begin to see that grief is not just sadness, but a doorway to self-awareness. It teaches us the courage to stay present, even when the heart still trembles from loss.
Finding Yourself After Grief Through Art and Grounding

In the journey of grief and trauma, we often lose connection — with ourselves, with others, even with the world around us.
Through the From Grief to Grounding program, our core aim is to rebuild those connections: with ourselves, with nature, and with community.
Art becomes the bridge.
Not every feeling can be expressed in words. Sometimes grief is too quiet to explain — and through colors, shapes, or movement, we begin to understand what we truly feel.
As described in the study “Healing Spaces Through Visual Art” (2020), the creative process opens space for people to express hidden emotions, untangle complex feelings, and rebuild connection with themselves.
Art isn’t about the visual result — it’s about the experience: when the hands move, the mind softens, and the heart slowly finds new ground.
Self-Marking: A Way to Find Yourself After Grief
Through Mini Art Sharing: From Grief to Grounding, every piece — whether visual art, writing, photos, poetry, or any form of expression — becomes a small marker showing that we’ve arrived at this point in our journey.
Art here is not an escape, but a healing space —
A space where wounds can be seen without fear, and grief can transform into a deeper understanding of self.
This process reminds us that healing is not about forgetting, but allowing ourselves to grow from what once broke us.
We don’t close the chapter with a period — we place a comma, a sign that the journey of healing continues, more mindful and more meaningful.
Finding the New You
After grief, we rarely return to who we once were.
Some things are lost — but many new things grow: deeper empathy, more meaningful silence, and a kinder way of seeing ourselves.
Finding yourself after grief means acknowledging this change, embracing the wounds that once frightened you, and making them part of your life’s story.
Because healing isn’t about going back — it’s about becoming a new version of yourself, with a fuller heart.
About the Mini Art Sharing: From Grief to Grounding

This session is the final reflective moment of the From Grief to Grounding program — a small celebration of each participant’s courage to stay, to be honest with themselves, and to open space for healing through art and reflection.
What We Will Do
Self-Marking Art Sharing
An open space for participants to share their creations: visuals, journals, photos, poems, or any form of expression representing their journey throughout the program.
No standards, no judgment — only a safe space to show up and tell your story in your own way.
Compass Reflection
A brief reflective writing:
“What has changed within me during this journey?”
This simple sentence often becomes the starting point to truly see how much we’ve grown.
Closing Ritual
A symbolic moment to:
let go · keep · carry forward — releasing what needs to go, keeping what matters, and carrying forward what strengthens us.
