Talk Mental Health Storyteller Program
About the Program
The Talk Mental Health Storyteller Program is a flagship initiative empowering young people with lived experiences of mental health challenges to share their journeys through storytelling. Designed for those who have navigated their own mental health struggles, the program provides a platform to transform personal experiences into powerful narratives, fostering resilience and inspiring others. Grounded in self-determination theory, the program emphasizes autonomy, competence, and connection, supporting participants in reclaiming their stories and purpose.

Program Structure
The program begins with an online pre-course to establish trust and introduce the power of storytelling. This is followed by a 3-day intensive workshop where participants, guided through storytelling techniques and self-reflection, craft their narratives in a supportive environment. Through creative exploration, they shape their personal stories with confidence and clarity.
Program Benefits
For those with lived experiences, the Storyteller Program provides a safe, empowering space for self-expression. Participants develop communication skills, enhance self-awareness, and build resilience, equipping them to become advocates in the mental health community. By sharing their stories, they help break down stigma, foster empathy, and inspire others facing similar challenges.
